Exam Centres and How to Enter for the IGCSE
The following section describes how to enter for the examination. There is a separate fee for this, payable to the examination centre. You can take the exam in either May or November. Please note it is your responsibility to enter yourself for the examination and to turn up on the times and dates specified.
Unless you have already done so, in order to take the examination you will need to register with an examination centre. You will be entering as an external or private candidate. This means that you attend the centre on the day(s) of the exam only. Be aware that you will need proof of identity, usually in the form a photo id such as a valid driving licence or a passport. The examination centre will give you further details when you contact them.
For UK Students
For UK students the main provider of the exams is Edexcel. There are a number of Edexcel approved examination centres throughout the UK. Click on the link for further details.
